gScreen 15.4” Dual-Screen Spacebook

For professional designers, filmmakers, photographers and anyone who can’t live without multitasking while on the move, gScreen introduces the first dual screen laptop with two 15.4-inch identical screens and a full-size keyboard, built into one laptop unit. It features a unique sliding mechanism which allows one of the screens slides behind the other for easy transportation. Planned specs includes Intel Core 2 Duo 2.26 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 320GB 7200-rpm HD, NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GT with 512MB dedicated memory, 9-cell battery, IEEE 1394 1 Graphics Card Output, HDMI slot and PCI Express Card. It will run Windows VISTA or XP PRO. Starting from December, gScreen Spacebook will be available directly from Amazon for shipment to 29 countries. The price is rumored at $3,000.

Gateway LT2000 netbook

Gateway has announced its second netbook – LT2000. It’s based on the Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz processor and comes with LED-backlit 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) display, 1GB DDR2 memory, 160GB (5400RPM) hard drive, GMA950 graphics set, multi-format memory card reader, built-in webcam, twin stereo speakers, a trio of USB 2.0 sockets and 3-cell Li-Ion battery, which Gateway tip for up to 3hrs of runtime. The netbook runs Windows XP, weighs 1.2kg (2.62lbs) and is available now in NightSky Black (LT2001u) and Cherry Red (LT2021u) for $299.

Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D

Earlier introduced at PHOTOKINA 2008, Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D camera has been just announced to be launched in Europe and US in September at the price of $600. Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D promises to be the world’s first compact digital camera snapping stills in three dimensions. Fuji’s 10-megapixel shooter employs two lenses, spaced about the same distance apart as human eyes, which allow for the taking of simultaneous photos of the same scene from different angles. This is how 3D becomes real. To view the images properly you will need special stereoscopic LCD photo frame or will have to print the photos on a special paper with a clear plastic overlay that acts as a kind of 3-D lens. Fujifilm plans to launch an online service that will make 3-D prints for consumers.

Sony Launches Flagship HD Handycam

Sony has announced two new flash memory-based high definition camcorders – the HDR-CX520V and the HDR-CX500V. Both cameras capture full 1920 x 1080 resolution video and up to 12 megapixel photos on internal flash memory. They offer support for up to 25 hours of HD video on the 64GB model. Among the features of both cameras are the ability to output 60p video – automatically converting convert to 60 frames per second on compatible HDTV sets. Built-in GPS antenna and NAVTEQ digital maps can geo-tag your videos and photos. The HDR-CX500V and HDR-CX520V will be available in September for approximately USD $1100 and $1300 respectively.

Sony VAIO W Series

Sony has just announced new series of VAIO’s notebooks (although Sony is referring the VAIO W as “Internet Book”). The W series features 1366 x 768 LED backlit 10.1-inch screen, 1.6GHz Intel Atom, 160GB HDD, 1GB of RAM, Windows XP with Service Pack 3, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n, VGA out, two USB ports, Ethernet, webcam and MemoryStick / SD card readers. The model comes with VAIO Media plus Multimedia Streaming software, a media sharing application that lets you wirelessly stream content across DLNA®-enabled devices throughout your home network. The W series comes in three colors- berry pink, sugar white and cocoa brown and will be selling at $630 in early August.

Helix combines the useful functions of a pen along with a watch to create a multi-functional hybrid. The pen can actually be used while still sitting around your wrist. Although they say that ‘Helix is a must-have for those who love writing’, we think it’s rather ‘must-have for those who love trendy and stylish bracelets’. The price is already unknown.

Here it comes! (Almost) all rumors confirmed. Yes, there’ll be 32 GB version available. Yes, a new iPhone is faster: “on average up to twice as fast”, 7.2Mbps HSDPA. Yes, it has better camera: 3 MP, with autofocus, macro mode and auto white balance. Yes, it can make a video: 30fps VGA with on-device editing capability, and send MMS (although AT&T won’t support it until “late summer”). And yes, the battery life is promised to be (a bit) longer. It features magnetic compass, enables voice control, voice memos and covers tethering. You will also get a real navigation system created in cooperation with TomTom. New iPhone goes on sale June 19th in the US and in August in other countries. Prices: $199 for the 16GB version and $299 for the 32GB.
